The Electrical Project Manager plays a key role in securing and delivering successful electrical construction projects, including design-build, energy upgrades, equipment replacements, and capital improvements. This role combines technical estimating, project management, and client relationship development while supporting company growth through project excellence and strong customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

These responsibilities generally describe the nature of the position and may not be all inclusive:

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients to drive project opportunities.
  • Estimate and manage electrical projects, including energy retrofits, system upgrades, and capital improvements.
  • Prepare project budgets, manage vendor quotes, and lead procurement of major materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and field labor to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project costs, schedules, and performance, proactively addressing potential challenges or variances.
  • Generate capital expenditure plans for repeat clients to support long-term equipment replacement.
  • Make regular sales calls to identify new opportunities with existing clients and expand the customer base.
  • Collaborate with engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve project issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure expectations are met.
  • Represent Horwitz professionally in all project and client-facing interactions.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable to evolving project needs.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Accubid Estimating Systems.



Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical industry.
  • Electrical license and prior field experience preferred.
  • Process controls experience beneficial.
