Job Summary

AmeriLife's Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) team is seeking an experienced Data Platform Project Manager to lead the delivery of data and analytics initiatives that support strategic decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will manage projects related to cloud data platforms, data ingestion pipelines, integration frameworks, and shared analytics services. You will work closely with data engineering, analytics, and platform teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business outcomes. Success in this role requires the effective application of project management concepts, problem solving, relationship building, and strong leadership ensuring accountability of our project teams.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for large and complex projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders, ensuring milestones are met and delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop andmaintainintegrated project plans across data engineering, analytics, and platform teams.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for delivery status for stakeholders and leadership, communicating timelines and risks and aligning stakeholders on delivery expectations.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Identifyand manage cross-teamand externaldependencies (data platforms, source systems, vendors, etc.).
  • Proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions (RAID), partnering with delivery teams to minimize impact.
  • Track delivery performance of project teams andmeasure realizedbusiness outcomes post project delivery.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across project teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering,Business Management,or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working on IT or data-focused delivery teams (e.g., analyst,scrum master, or similar role).
  • 3+ years of experience as a project manager supporting IT, data, or analytics initiatives.
  • Experience managing projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the system development lifecycle (SDLC) and data platform projects (cloud data, ETL, analytics).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with shared resources and competing priorities.
  • Expertiseutilizingstandard project managementconcepts,including schedules, baselines, scope control, resource planning, and RAID management.
  • Proficiencywith standard project management tools including Jira and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solvingcapabilities with the ability to ask questions and think strategically.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)or other relevant certifications
  • Working knowledge of cloud data architectures (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses,lakehousepatterns).
  • Familiarity with data governance concepts, including data quality, metadata management, lineage, and stewardship.
  • Experience with process modeling or diagramming tools (e.g., Visio).
  • Exposure tobusiness intelligence or reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $110,000 to $140,000
  • Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training
