Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Job Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid

Description:

AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support a data engineering project within an AI adoption program. This role is responsible for planning, coordination, requirements gathering, business analysis, project planning, project monitoring, status reporting, and implementation of moderate to complex business solutions. The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional coordination, track project deliverables, support platform and data engineering initiatives, and ensure alignment between business, engineering, and AI stakeholders. Familiarity with cloud platforms, data pipelines, and AI/ML adoption efforts is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of technical projects supporting data engineering and AI adoption initiatives.
  • Gather business requirements, perform business analysis, and develop project specifications.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project progress, track deliverables, identify risks, and provide regular project status reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, developers, analysts, vendors, and AI teams.
  • Support platform modernization, cloud-based data initiatives, and enterprise data engineering projects.
  • Ensure successful implementation of business and technical solutions while maintaining project timelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain project documentation, including project charters, schedules, risk logs, and lessons learned.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Support project governance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of overall IT experience with the ability to independently manage complex technical projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and must be listed on the resume.
  • 10+ years of experience leading technical projects or programs in data, analytics, and cloud environments.
  • 10+ years of experience leading data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives from planning through delivery.
  • Proven experience managing business intelligence, big data, and analytics projects within complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting healthcare data initiatives; familiarity with FHIR, CCDA, and HL7 standards is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies to support project planning, estimation, and issue resolution.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to business and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership managing cross-functional teams, vendors, and complex project timelines.
  • Strong collaboration skills working with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business partners.
  • Experience defining project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, success metrics, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
  • Strong documentation skills for project plans, charters, schedules, and project artifacts.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and modern data systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive leadership approach and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar project management certifications.
  • Experience working in healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance, security, and data governance concepts.
  • Understanding of information management principles, SDLC, enterprise architecture, and enterprise technologies.
  • Experience supporting AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • TOGAF, Cloud Solution Architecture, or Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform certifications.
  • Strong consulting, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer-focused communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
