THE COMPANY

A successful and reputable Architecture firm in Ottawa is hiring for a capable Project Manager - Architecture, to manage and coordinate projects in Ottawa. This firm is busy with a wide range of project in their pipeline across public, institutional and private sector work.

THE ROLE

As an Intermediate or Senior Architectural Project Manager, you will oversee project phases through design development, construction documents preparation, and construction period services. The successful candidate will work with project coordination, manage client relationships, team communication and liaise with municipal authorities, and you will be responsible for reviewing work and quality control. Ultimately, you will oversee the successful execution of projects, in collaboration with the senior partners and other architects in the firm.

WHAT'S REQUIRED

  • Minimum 7+ years' relevant experience with at least 4+ years working in a PM capacity
  • Experience working on larger public sector projects preferred
  • Eligibility for Security clearance required
  • Minimum 5+ years experience working with Canadian building codes and bylaws knowledge
  • PMP designation an asset, as is registration as an Architect, though not essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in building technology including wood frame, steel and concrete construction
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to work with budgets, schedules and financials
