Architectural Project Manager - Industrial Fulfillment

Position Summary

Join our partner firm, Macgregor Associates Architects (MAA), an Invision Studio, as a Architectural Project Manager supporting the Industrial fulfillment programs. This role requires a highly experienced architectural professional with a strong client-facing presence and deep understanding of project delivery from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate will hold a professional degree in Architecture, with licensure preferred but not required. Experience engaging directly with clients to identify and interpret program requirements, develop design criteria, and lead teams through fast-paced project delivery environments.

This position demands exceptional communication skills-for coordination with clients, internal teams, consultants, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). You will be responsible for producing clear, accurate construction documents that integrate current building and construction technologies, as well as overseeing the Construction Administration (CA) process, including RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, punch walks, and reporting.

Proficiency in Revit is essential, with a strong preference for experience in BIM 360 shared model environments. Familiarity with building, fire, and energy codes is required. The ability to remain flexible and effectively communicate shifting client directions to the design team is critical.

Essential Responsibilities:   

• Serve as Project Manager on the industrial fulfillment and distribution sector, with specific responsibility for supporting high profile clients.
• Lead client-facing engagements to interpret program requirements, identify goals and objectives, and develop design strategies aligned with project scopes.
• Coordinate and oversee all phases of design and documentation, including proposals, design criteria manuals, and construction documents.
• Supervise internal team members and coordinate efforts with consultants and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
• Implement current building and construction technologies into clear, concise, and comprehensive construction documents.
• Manage the Construction Administration (CA) process, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, conducting site visits and punch walks, and producing site visit reports.
• Uphold and advance firm design standards across all project deliverables.
• Collaborate in the development of template documents and design criteria to support consistent quality across projects.
• Deliver work within fast-paced schedules and adapt effectively to evolving client direction, ensuring clear communication with all project stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently across varying phases of development.

Qualifications: 

• Professional degree in Architecture required.
• Architectural licensure preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of experience working directly with clients on architectural projects, including developing proposals and design documentation.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, consultants, and AHJs.
• Strong technical skills in drafting, modeling, and detail development for construction documents.
• Proficient in Revit; experience with BIM 360 cloud-based collaboration is preferred.
• Solid understanding of applicable building, fire, and energy codes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage shifting project priorities and convey direction clearly to design teams.
