Summary

The Project Manager manages the delivery of Steele Solutions custom engineered platform systems on time and within budget, from point of sale to installation. The Project Manager supports the delivery process through meticulous planning, implementation, documentation, coordination and communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Leads in the development of project charters, project plans, and project schedules
  • Adheres to internal business processes and best practices
  • Facilitates the administration and maintenance of all project documentation
  • Supports the delivery of a project in accordance with the schedule
  • Leads the development of a portion of Client deliverables and presentations.
  • Provides active conflict resolution and facilitation for both internal employees and external clients, vendors, partners, etc.
  • Fosters positive communication between internal teams, general contractors, city/county permitting and inspection officials, sub-contractors, and the client
  • Makes tactical decisions ensuring achievement of project goals
  • Leads small teams (internal and/or client/stakeholders) during engagements
  • Drives high levels of accountable performance, both internally and externally
  • Assists in the development of internal business systems and processes

Education and/or Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Industrial Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous Project Management experience necessary
  • Knowledge of the Material Handling industry is desired
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes highly preferred
  • Familiarity with project management & collaboration software; such as Microsoft Project
  • Proven results within a high competency/high assertive sale driven environment

General Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required. Excellent Excel skills are a plus
  • Excellent communication skills- verbal, written and presentation
  • Strong time management skills: Ability to prioritize, complete tasks with a high level of accuracy, and be attentive to detail in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong problem solving/ analytical skills
  • Solid collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Ability to be decisive, self-driven, and establish credibility while supporting company priorities.
  • Ability to travel in North America up to 30% of the time

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and vendors.
