This position description identifies the major responsibilities of this job. It does not include all aspects of the position such as the potential additional duties assigned by supervisors and the requirement for flexibility in helping others for the company's overall benefit.
The Project Manager (PM) position is a role in the Project Management job category. This role will work independently and in coordination with other project leadership roles. The role focuses on the management of projects and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, timekeeping, financial management, reporting, customer relation, invoicing, presenting plans and actuals, and reconciliation. In the course of their duties, the PM may be assigned to an individual customer engagement and or a series of customer engagements.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Project Plans & Schedules - review and update when necessary
  • Time entry and approval for projects
  • Expense entry and approval for projects
  • Budgets - support of project financials and advise on areas of non-compliance or exceptions. Keeps track of all change orders and credits
  • Budgets - supports the client on a recurring basis about the project status (details regarding project actuals, budgets and forecast for financials and resource management). Man Days Actual vs Budgeted Responsibility
  • Process project invoices and check requests through Accounts Payable for outside contractors for the project if needed.
  • Budgets - Cost Review - ensure cost rates for resource costs; travel costs; product/material (PID) cost, etc. are correct and properly applied.
  • Compliance Monitoring - support the information for all required processes across all teams
  • Change Control - Support the process for the project; collecting data; creating setup forms
  • Project Execution support - ensure project status is properly reported; execute the project close-out checklist; support Lessons Learned process.
  • Maintain project organization charts and key distribution lists as required from the project communications plan
  • Data Entry of information into Smartsheet (PM Software)
  • Working with the service department for staffing allocations for each project. Confirming all service appointments in FSL.
  • Up to 75% travel to project sites
  • Site Management with ensuring customer satisfaction for certain projects with proper shipping info, inventory management, daily updates for service reports, sign out reports and closing out the project.
  • Project Organization and Motivation, to develop clear, straightforward plans that stimulate the teams to reach their full potential.
  • Be the expert when it comes to customer assistance and service!

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have at least 3 years of technical project management experience.
  • Must have experience with capital equipment installations and commissioning.
  • Must have a proven track record in customer satisfaction.
  • Must be able to share references/recommendations.
  • Experience in the food processing industry, specifically poultry, is a plus.
  • A degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is a plus.
  • Project management professional ( PMP ) certification is a plus.
  • Demonstration of outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work very independently and remotely. (self-starter)
  • Must have a passion for customer satisfaction.
