Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Management person to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Northrop Grumman in Annapolis, MD.

What You Will Get To Do:

Provides support to the logistics function working with a logistics database to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related parts to be deployed and stocked. Help to determine maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components and repair parts; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on test runs and deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings or mission lists to support life-cycle of product. Adheres to schedules and monitors the cost and delivery of spares and production parts requirements to comply with contractual obligations.

In this position you will also perform functions such as the following:

    • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management, planning, project team, and line management.

    • Review status of projects and budgets; prepare status reports.

    • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, program goals and objectives.

    • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and operations.

    • Manage critical program inventory items.

    • Responsible for receiving, issuing and shipping parts.

    • Responsible for maintaining certs and calibration requirements for program inventory and ensuring long term and daily schedules are met.

    • Manage and report Government Property to customer and contracts representatives.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for the Principal Project Management:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of Logistics and Property Management or Government Property experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of Logistics and Property Management or Government Property experience OR 9 years of Logistics and Property Management or Government Property experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience in logistics and property management, both Government and Industry along with basic understanding of hazardous material requirements for storage and shipping

  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications for the Principal Project Management:

  • Previous military logistics and security experience, working in similar environment

  • Experience or knowledge with database design and operation

  • Experience in managing Government Property

  • Current/active Top Secret/SSBI/SCI with CI Poly

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
