Job Summary

As a Project Manager intern with the Nidec Aerospace team, you will have the opportunity to apply and develop your expertise to design electric propulsion systems for the battery-powered aircrafts that will enable the world to sustainably and efficiently get from point A to point B.

Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Management Co-op to join our team specializing in mechanical and electrical engineering projects. This role offers hands-on experience in project planning, execution, and coordination across various engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist project managers and engineering teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate resources, equipment, and information to support project activities.
  • Assist in budget tracking, cost estimation, and resource allocation.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
  • Support project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Assist in conducting technical reviews, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in project management processes and practices.

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic background with coursework in project management or related disciplines.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Power BI, etc).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in project management or engineering is a plus.
