  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Industrial Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working with technical construction programs/projects.
  • 5 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or field roles.
  • Experience with cost management, cost planning and estimation, negotiation, or project procurement.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 7 years of experience in data center construction.

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish - working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Driving the efficient delivery of Google's Data Center Portfolio through direct leadership of construction project planning and scheduling for complex campuses and buildings across a large geographic area. In this role, you will be required to support setup and delivery of planning and scheduling that drives value by delivering critical facilities at speed. Your knowledge of construction project planning and ability to drive efficient delivery approaches will be key to ensure projects are delivered on time that meet our business needs.
You will lead, collaborate, and communicate with our tier one and two supply chain to create compliant and efficient schedules that meet the business objective and serve as effective planning tools that guide daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage schedules that support data center project execution.
  • Lead planning and scheduling implementation with our General Contractors and Managed Service Suppliers.
  • Partner with Project Managers and work directly with project teams to support schedule implementation including setup, training, execution and assurance.
  • Drive schedule acceleration analyses and identify opportunities for faster schedules.
  • Direct engagement in schedule review and negotiations with the Main/Sub Contracts with regard to achieving alignment and acceptance of a common plan.
