Job Summary

As the Project Manager, OSP, you will ultimately be responsible for planning and executing outside plant telecommunications projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project delivery. You will lead project execution from initiation through closeout while managing schedules, resources, budgets, and customer expectations. Your customers include telecommunications carriers, broadband providers, and internal Congruex stakeholders, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company's success through operational excellence, quality project delivery, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to)

  • Manage Outside Plant (OSP) telecommunications projects from planning through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are achieved.
  • Lead project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project execution and successful delivery.
  • Monitor project schedules, production, capacity, and performance metrics while identifying and resolving issues that impact project success.
  • Conduct internal and customer meetings, communicate project status, maintain accurate project documentation, and ensure all project data is tracked effectively.
  • Develop and improve project processes to increase operational efficiency, reduce project cycle times, and enhance quality.
  • Analyze project data and reporting to support forecasting, business intelligence, and continuous process improvement.
  • Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.

Required Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license, if required for the position.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in telecommunications, utility, or construction environments.
  • Experience managing fiber optic, FTTx, long-haul, carrier, colocation, OSP, and ISP telecommunications projects.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, as well as project tracking and reporting tools. Experience with Visio, SQL, and Google Earth is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with civil construction and telecommunications construction projects.
  • Experience leading turnkey broadband or telecommunications infrastructure projects.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in both office and outdoor environments for extended periods.
  • Work performed outdoors, around heavy equipment, and in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and other required safety equipment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
