Job description

Job Title: PPM System Administrator
Location: Melbourne, FL
Type: Direct Hire
Work Model: Hybrid - onsite and remote
System One is looking for a Project Portfolio Management Admin in the Melbourne, FL area
Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain the PPM platform, ensuring reliable day-to-day system performance and data accuracy across all portfolios.
  • Troubleshoot, document, and resolve system and configuration issues; escalate complex problems when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using the PPM platform and Power BI to support leadership decision-making.
  • Analyze business needs and translate requirements into technical configurations, workflow automation, integrations, and process improvements within the PPM environment.
  • Design, build, and implement custom configurations within the PPM tool's development environment, ensuring all enhancements are fully tested, validated, and prepared for deployment to production.
  • Provide user support, training, demonstrations, and clear process documentation to improve system adoption and enhance user proficiency.
  • Support strategic planning by managing the project intake process, tracking business cases, generating preliminary resource-loaded plans, and conducting what-if scenario planning.
  • Oversee and manage the PMO's SharePoint document library, creating new project subsites, managing approval workflows, and performing quality assurance on documents to ensure project managers adhere to company standards.

Requirements
  • Proven experience administering enterprise level PPM systems such as Planview, Clarity, Microsoft Project Server, ServiceNow PPM, Primavera, or similar; Planview ProjectAdvantage preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project management, portfolio management, resource planning, and demand management concepts.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, workflow configuration, data governance, system integrations, and reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in both structured and ambiguous environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or similar STEM field or equivalent work experience.
  • PPM platform training or certification in relevant systems strongly preferred.
  • Data analytics training including experience with data modeling, reporting, and visualization beneficial.
