With over 100,000 professionals across 130 countries, we are dedicated to simplifying and connecting global trade, helping our customers grow competitively in both existing and new markets. 🌎🚢 Within our specialized Maersk Project Logistics (MPL) division, we offer tailored solutions to manage complex project shipments, including heavy lift, oversized (OOG), and other specialized cargo, across multiple transportation modes and industries.

At Maersk, collaboration and a customer-centric mindset are key success factors. As a network-driven business, the ability to think and act beyond your own function and geography is essential. A customer-centric mindset means consistently considering customer value in every action, regardless of role or position.

We believe in recognizing individual performance within highly professional teams, supported by our strong company values.

We Offer

This is an exciting opportunity to join our MPL Operations Team as a Project Manager, executing best-in-class project logistics solutions and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

You will join an international, fast-paced, and growth-oriented environment, gaining exposure to complex global logistics operations while collaborating with multiple stakeholders across regions and functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality project logistics solutions in line with customer requirements while ensuring compliance with internal processes (including on-site supervision when required).
  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipment documentation, proactively escalating operational issues and providing mitigation plans and solutions.
  • Proactively communicate milestones and status updates to customers, ensuring on-time and cost-efficient execution.
  • Collaborate daily with customers, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliant vendor creation according to global processes. Source and procure in line with the Global Authority Matrix and procurement framework. Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals to ensure the best value and quality.
  • Monitor and update operational systems and tools (CargoWise) with project information, from file creation through invoicing, while driving operational KPI performance against targets.
  • Adhere to the MPL Standard Billing Cycle and Job Costing Policy to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

Global Control Tower

  • Act as a member of a Europe-based Global Control Tower team dedicated to managing customer project shipments.
  • Support the monitoring and orchestration of global project shipments in line with budgets and customer requirements.
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment across international operations and escalate operational risks or deviations when required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project profitability and contribute to process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
We Are Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience and a proven track record in project freight forwarding, project logistics, or multimodal transport operations (road and sea).
  • Strong analytical and operational mindset combined with financial acumen and project management capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of global supply chains and, preferably, strong knowledge of the Spanish project logistics market, including key service providers involved in both containerized and oversized project cargo shipments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrix-based environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Proactive, organized, and collaborative team player with a solution-oriented mindset and a can-do attitude.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally according to project requirements.
