Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Associate, Strategic Finance, you will play a central role in executing the financing and capital markets activities that fund the company's infrastructure growth and long-term financial strategy. Working alongside senior members of the Strategic Finance team, you will structure and evaluate capital solutions, build the analysis behind key decisions, and support transactions from concept through close - an ideal foundation for an ambitious finance professional in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

You will gain hands-on exposure to high-impact financing transactions, liquidity and capital planning, and the strategic decisions that shape the company's capital structure. You will work closely with senior leadership and regularly engage with banks, investors, and capital partners, contributing directly to outcomes as part of a small, fast-moving team.

Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:

  • Strategic Financing Initiatives: Help identify, structure, and evaluate financing solutions to fund infrastructure investments, client contracts, and continued growth.
  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Lead financial modeling efforts to assist senior finance team in analyzing opportunities and strategic decision making across equity, debt, lease, and hybrid capital solutions, including debt capacity, leverage, liquidity, covenant sensitivity, and downside scenarios.
  • Capital Markets Support: Conduct market research across capital-markets trends, investor appetite, peer benchmarking, and emerging financing structures, and support the execution of capital raising and financing transactions, including evaluation of key financing terms, drafting presentations, and assisting with management of key lender and financial sponsor relationships.
  • Special Projects: Contribute to high-visibility, cross-functional special projects that move the business forward.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Contribute to the preparation of recommendations for firmwide investment committee on financing strategies, M&A opportunities, and new investment opportunities.
  • Transaction Execution & Coordination: Support deal workstreams from launch through close - including data room management, diligence responses, and documentation coordination - and partner with legal, accounting, energy origination, tax, and corporate development teams to keep assumptions and deliverables aligned, maintaining a financing pipeline view across projects, counterparties, and key milestones.
  • Materials & Documentation: Prepare lender presentations, internal decision materials, and committee decks, maintain closing documentation trackers, and support post-close handoff into covenant compliance and bank reporting.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Timely and accurate delivery of decision-grade financial models and analysis with minimal managerial oversight.
  • Effectively supporting the organization in an organized, well-controlled and timely execution of capital raising and corporate structuring projects.
  • Establishing a proactive role in market research and staying informed on industry trends and pricing.

Contributing to internal and external presentations with comprehensive and clear analysis

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity, corporate finance, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, and a deep understanding of project and corporate finance principles.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to grow into a leadership role over time.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Experience with capital markets or investment banking transactions.
  • Exposure to financing instruments such as credit facilities, term loans, or securitizations.
  • Comfortable working directly with banks, investors, and outside counsel and consultants in support of live transactions.
  • Familiarity with treasury management, corporate structuring, or M&A transactions.
  • Passionate about finance, capital markets, and strategic investments.
  • Strong judgment, sense of urgency, and follow-through.
