Job description

Horner amp; Shifrin is seeking a full-time Bridge Project Engineer in our Structural Business Unit. This position requires 5+ years of experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Follow Bridge Practice production and design standards and procedures as delegated by the Project Manager.
  • Perform and check structural engineering calculations of bridges, retaining walls, and other transportation infrastructure structures using company, client, and industry standards.
  • Participate in the preparation and checking of structural construction drawings created by teammates to meet firm and client requirements.
  • Develop and check cost estimates.
  • Participate in the preparation of reports and studies.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Licensed Structural Engineer in Arkansas (preferred)
  • Experience with design and detailing of ARDOT or Arkansas Tollway bridge projects (firm requirement)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MicroStation
  • Knowledge of Structural Bridge Design Software
  • Previous bridge inspection experience (preferred)
  • Ability to traverse structural sites, including heights and rough terrain
  • Must possess a valid driverโ€™s license
  • Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Master of Science in Civil Engineering (preferred)
SALARY RANGE:
