FTS International, LLC (FTS) is committed to providing the Federal Government with quality consultants and support. To ensure mission success we focus on putting our customers first while minimizing corporate bureaucracy on our staff. We provide Subject Matter Experts (SME) free of Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) focused on independent analysis and mission support services within the disciplines of Engineering, Counter Terrorism Operations, Management, Information Technology, Signals Analysis, Administration, Cyber Security and Linguistics.
FTS has an opportunity for a Project Engineer in Chantilly, VA.
The Project Engineer serves as program support to the government Program Manager (PM) with responsibility for technical knowledge of the assigned teams and programs/projects.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations related to the integration of National Systems-based capabilities
  • Assist the PM/COTR in program management; strategic planning; cost, schedule, and performance monitoring and reporting; program synchronization; generating requests for information responses; cross-program coordination; and programmatic
  • Lead IPT meetings and review process boards to include but not limited to ERBs, CCBs, SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, and PMRs
  • Support the PM in multiple areas which include systems, mission, and enterprise engineering; program management; acquisition support; analytic support; technical analysis; user requirement management/development; architecture; and customer outreach and support
  • Serve as technical expert in their assigned area
  • Other responsibilities include administrative and technical support to the Government leadership team, internal cross coordination, external mission partners and other DoD/IC customers

Required Skills/Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with polygraph
  • BS/BA degree in technology, business, engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in project management and acquisition, with emphasis on Government acquisition in DoD or IC
  • Familiarity with project management; monitoring developer cost, schedule, and performance; and program office processes, techniques, and documentation
  • Ability to travel ~10%

Desired Skills/Qualifications
  • MS/MA degree in technology, business, engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with national and tactical space architectures
  • Familiarity with different contracting types; e.g.: competition, sole source, IDIQ/TOs, Other Transactions, and Broad Agency Announcements)
  • Working knowledge of SAFe Agile or similar agile processes and JIRA and Confluence tools
  • Certified in one or more of the following: INCOSE (or DAWIA equivalent), Agile, Project Management
  • Familiarity with project management; monitoring developer cost, schedule, and performance; and program office processes, techniques, and documentation
  • Ability to problem solve in a rapidly changing environment and interface with the customer daily
  • Track and respond to office tasking, build, and present program briefings, and update project schedules and calendar
