We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in Akron, OH. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys a mix of technical design, project coordination, and client interaction. You'll contribute to meaningful infrastructure and site development projects while continuing to build your technical and project management skills.
What You'll Do
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of engineering designs and deliverables
  • Provide direction and coordination to project team members, including engineers, designers, drafters, field staff, and support personnel
  • Apply technical expertise to evaluate design approaches, establish solutions, and review work to meet client expectations
  • Support compliance with regulatory and permitting requirements
  • Prepare technical documents including reports, proposals, cost estimates, bid packages, and permit applications
  • Contribute to proposal development by defining project understanding, scope, and technical approach
  • Maintain project schedules and budgets, proactively communicating scope, timeline, or cost risks to the Project Manager
  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for repeat work and building client relationships
  • Assist in managing client relationships and delivering a high level of service
  • May serve as an Assistant Project Manager on select projects

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
  • 4+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
  • Ohio PE license is preferred, or able to obtain in twelve months
  • Proficiency with design and modeling tools (AutoCAD, GIS, REVIT)
  • Working knowledge of permitting processes and funding agency requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and sound technical judgment
  • Effective time management and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to grow and advance
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed

Salary Range:
The minimum salary for this position is $90,000.00 (negotiable based on experience and qualifications). Final offer depends on location, skills, and certifications. Verdantas provides a comprehensive benefits package and rewards exceptional performance while ensuring fair compensation across roles.
