Position Overview

This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer Project Manager (PE) to join a multidisciplinary engineering firm that prioritizes collaboration, technical excellence, and long-term client partnerships. In this role, you will lead land development and infrastructure projects across a broad range of sectors including K-12, higher education, municipal, commercial, restaurant, and mixed-use developments. You'll manage projects from concept through completion while making high-level engineering decisions and driving successful project execution.

The firm operates within integrated multi-disciplinary studios where engineers collaborate closely across Civil, MEP, and Structural disciplines to deliver coordinated, high-performance solutions. Core Responsibilities

  • Lead land development and civil engineering projects including drainage, stormwater systems, water systems, sanitary sewer systems, parking facilities, and roadway infrastructure
  • Utilize Civil 3D and stormwater management software to develop exhibits, engineering plans, and construction documentation
  • Perform stormwater design, drainage analysis, and permitting coordination for land development projects
  • Review local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance throughout project design and permitting processes
  • Analyze reports, surveys, topographic data, and engineering documentation to support project planning and design decisions
  • Make independent engineering decisions while coordinating closely with senior leadership and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, budgets, schedules, and internal QA/QC requirements
  • Conduct site investigations and provide construction observation support during active project phases
  • Participate in business development efforts including proposal development, client acquisition, and relationship management
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical staff development across project teams
  • Coordinate with clients, municipalities, consultants, and internal teams to maintain successful project delivery and communication

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of civil engineering and land development experience
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of land development engineering, stormwater management, drainage design, and permitting coordination
  • Software: Proficiency in Civil 3D and stormwater analysis/design software
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local, state, and federal codes, standards, and permitting requirements
  • Project Management: Experience managing project budgets, schedules, staffing, and multidisciplinary coordination efforts
  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor engineering teams and oversee QA/QC processes
