Job description

Essential Duties
Manage the construction administration process for all company projects, including:
  • Develop/Maintain inspection processes for the complete life cycle of projects
  • Serve as liaison to clients and contractors during the construction administration process
  • Maintain a master inspection schedule working closely with architects and contractors
  • Conduct field inspections
  • Ensure that all field report items are completed in a proper, timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Monitor and answer Requests for Information and Change Proposal Requests during construction administration process
  • Work closely with the Principals and Project Managers to ensure that each project meets company standards according to specifications and drawings
  • Make construction-related decisions as necessary
  • Review specifications, shop drawings, addendums, and other construction documents
Required skills and knowledge
  • 5+ years of experience in an MEP construction or consulting environment
  • 5+ years of experience in field project management in an MEP consulting environment
  • Excellent ability to read construction documents, including MEP drawings and specifications
  • Excellent knowledge of building codes
  • Knowledge in the construction of power distribution, power and lighting, data networks, telephone and intercom systems, fire alarm systems, security and access control systems, and other standard electrical systems
  • Knowledge in the construction of HVAC systems, temperature controls, and other standard mechanical systems
  • Knowledge in the construction of domestic water systems, hot water systems, storm water systems, sanitary waste and vent systems, acid waste systems, fire sprinkler systems, compressed air systems, gas distribution systems and fuel gas systems, and other standard plumbing systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines
