About the role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Design Release Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.

What you'll be doing…

  • Coordinate projects by making detailed plans, accomplish goals, and direct the integration of technical activities.
  • Develop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
  • Recruit employees, assign, direct, evaluate their work, and oversee staff development and competence.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to assess project feasibility.
  • Lead engineering development, integration, validation, and launch of systems with a focus on safety, quality, and technical excellence.
  • Drive disciplined delivery to vehicle development milestones, ensuring design execution and achieving performance targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and manage resources, supplier integration, CAD integration, DFMEA/DFSS excellence, and robust validation.
  • Lead launch activities with a focus on quality and on-time execution.

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Materials or related).
  • 5-8 years of experience in instrument panel, floor console, and decorative trim development.
  • Proven proficiency in component/subsystem design and development, vehicle integration, and design for manufacturability/automation.
  • Strong partnership with CAE for data-driven design iterations and validation.
  • Project management capability; PMI/PMP preferred.
  • Proficiency with CAD workflows and release processes.
  • Mastery of DFMEA/DRBFM, ADVP&R development, ICDs, and PFMEA collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Effective in change management, with clear problem framing and documented decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders.
