Job description

Reports to: Director of Project Engineering
Located in: Tulsa
Cooperates with: Engineering, Sales, Production, Project Management
Primary Responsibility: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer III to join our team. The Project Engineer III works at the intersection of sales and engineering, helping our clients understand and implement our products and solutions. You will communicate face to face with our sales staff and customers to identify project needs and provide advanced technical support through the sales process. At this level, the Project Engineer III designs solutions for complex applications, serves as a senior technical resource, and works with a high degree of independence while contributing to cross-functional technical leadership.
What You'll Do:
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product specifications, features, and integration capabilities, including complex or custom applications.
  • Communicate with and educate our sales staff and customers on our technical solutions.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are correctly sized and constructed to meet quality and performance standards.
  • Lead the creation of proposals, quotes, and technical documentation for potential clients.
  • Participate in and support sales strategy discussions, contributing advanced technical insights during customer negotiations.
  • Support operations and project managers in project execution, particularly for complex or high-impact projects.
  • Lead project cost estimating and consult on advanced product design with sales and production teams.
  • Provide installation oversight and advanced troubleshooting service work for new and custom products in the field.
  • Create tools for matured products to transition to Catalyzer or other teams and help standardize engineering practices.
  • Drive process improvements, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to cross-functional technical problem solving and innovation.

What Qualifies You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years in a related engineering field or engineering employment at MIRATECH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients and stakeholders.
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills, with a strong track record of meeting project deadlines, solving problems, and developing creative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently on complex technical challenges and lead technical efforts within projects.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or technical documentation software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD or equivalent.
  • Commitment to MIRATECH and a positive contribution to company culture.
