The Project Engineer Manager provides direction and coordination for the Engineering department to ensure engineering work supports customer requirements and internal standards. This position exists to strengthen engineering capability through disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and effective use of technology within a 10 + years experience in plastics industry environment.
Key responsibilities include planning and controlling engineering projects; reviewing designs for compliance; approving design changes, specifications, and drawing releases; assigning engineering resources across project phases; coordinating schedules, technical development, testing, and issue resolution; preparing interim and closeout reports; estimating part costs and entering data into MRP; scheduling mold sampling and part layouts for customer approval; supporting quoting with Sales; managing budgets; and coaching and developing engineering staff.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
- 10 + years experience in plastics industry
