Job description

Job Requirements

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Mechanical Project Engineer with experience in Building Systems design and construction to support the full lifecycle of infrastructure and energy-focused projects. In this role, you will be responsible for performing engineering calculations, equipment selection, system layout and design, field investigations, and the development of construction documents-all while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. You will collaborate in a team environment, using you skills and experience to independently apply engineering judgment, lead technical project meetings, manage workload to meet schedule and financial targets, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver successful, cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate will stay current on industry trends and technologies, conduct life cycle cost analyses, and support business development through technical input, proposals, and estimates. Travel may be required based on project.


Work Experience
  • Associate degree in Engineering or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Higher education degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in building infrastructure and/or energy reduction initiatives. Proven portfolio of completed projects preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of the respective engineering field.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
  • Understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills required.
