Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll contribute to site development projects through site planning, utility design, stormwater management, and the preparation of construction documents. You’ll also attend municipal meetings, collaborate with subconsultants, and support the permitting and approval process.

This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented civil engineer who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and mentoring others—someone who is looking to take greater ownership of their work in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop site layout, grading, stormwater systems, and utility designs using Civil 3D.
  • Prepare construction documents, drainage reports, SWPPPs, and permit submittals.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and attend municipal/client meetings.
  • Coordinate with subconsultants and internal design teams.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative project environment.
  • Assist with project scheduling and maintain accountability for deadlines.
  • Manage client communication to ensure quality, consistency, and trust.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years of experience in site development or land development design.
  • EIT certification preferred; PE track encouraged.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of site grading, stormwater design, and utility layout.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
