What are your contributions to the team?
  • Lead engineering plan and its governance
  • Work closely with Head of Aircraft Design and Chief Integrator to align on priorities and decisions
  • Represents the Head of Aircraft Design for all matters pertaining to Project Engineering
  • Manage the Engineering Statement of Work from all phases of development up to certification & entry into service
  • Manage the engineering budget and spend
  • Harmonize engineering schedule to support Program milestones and rally the technical teams behind meeting the schedule including suppliers
  • Ensure measures are in place to organize and control the engineering tasks and the priorities, with appropriate levels of visibility to issues and risks and associated mitigation plan.
  • Participate in program, supplier and technical review providing support and visibility to the team and management
  • Co-Chair change board and ensure the completeness of the proposed solutions.
  • Coordinate with other project organization (BFTC, Completions, …)
  • Deploy Lessons Learned and Best Project Practices onto the derivative platform
  • Recruit, Develop and Evaluate your employees
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent. PMI certification is an asset
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of experience working with multidisciplinary and technically complex integration in the Aerospace industry with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • You have advanced knowledge of project management and knowledge of the BES
  • You have strong people manager and leadership qualities with an ability to mobilize and foster an environment of teamwork within cross-functional teams facilitating discussions and resolving issues to meet the objectives.
  • You have demonstrated leadership behaviors that support putting people first, work in teams, value teamwork, and drive for performance excellence while exhibiting a winning attitude.
  • You have advanced computer skills with a knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word Excel, Project) as well as databases and PLM and ERP systems applications
  • You are willing to travel and work outside of normal business hours on occasion
  • You have logical and flexible mindsets, shows initiative, and demonstrate overview/detailed approaches.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus without formal authority
  • You must be fluent in both French and English.
