Job description

Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer I to join our team. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction engineering, project management, and fieldwork while supporting the successful execution of infrastructure projects. The Project Engineer I will work under the supervision of senior engineers and project managers to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with project requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and construction projects under supervision.
  • Support project managers in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Conduct technical analyses, prepare reports, and assist with project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, contractors, and field personnel, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Participate in quality control and construction oversight to verify work progress and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Assist in reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents to provide technical support during construction.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to resolve challenges and keep projects on track.
Requirements:

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program

Technical Skills

  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, contract documents, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Civil 3D for reviewing and understanding design plans.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 (P6) or Microsoft Project for baseline schedules and progress updates.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for markups, redlining, and construction documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of pay applications, change orders, and contract compliance.
  • Experience with GIS tools for mapping and site analysis is a plus.
