About the Position

The VP of Project Development will be a key leader with direct responsibility for overseeing and driving the successful completion of large-scale manufacturing and distribution projects. This role is focused on ensuring that projects move forward from inception to completion, providing guidance and leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading large-scale manufacturing and distribution projects to successful completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Managing and supporting project teams through all phases of development and construction.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks, ensuring solutions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Overseeing project progress and reporting to senior leadership on milestones, budget status, and potential issues.
  • Bringing projects to the finish line, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed in accordance with the company's high standards.
  • Working closely with business development teams to pursue new opportunities and expand the company's portfolio of large-scale projects.

This role is a strategic leadership position with an emphasis on the execution of large projects rather than pre-construction management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record in leading large-scale manufacturing and distribution projects.
  • Strong understanding of the complexities involved in large-scale industrial projects, from design to final delivery.
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership role, managing multi-million-dollar projects and large project teams.
  • Expertise in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with managing a project portfolio with a value of $50M+ per project.
