Position Summary
Solenis is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth within the Tissue segment. This is a highly visible commercial leadership role responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing customer partnerships, supporting major manufacturing initiatives, and collaborating across commercial, technical, and R&D functions.
The ideal candidate will bring deep tissue industry expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex customer relationships while serving as a trusted advisor to manufacturing operations and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans within the Tissue market.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Drive market share growth through consultative selling and value-based solution development.
  • Support the commercialization and introduction of new technologies, products, and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers across customer organizations.

Customer & Operational Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers operating tissue manufacturing facilities.
  • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts across customer operations.
  • Partner with customers on major operational initiatives, expansions, and capital projects.
  • Provide leadership during startup activities for new equipment and production assets.
  • Coordinate technical resources to deliver effective customer solutions and long-term success.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with R&D, Technical Service, Operations, and Corporate Sales teams.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable business and technical solutions.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to support innovation and strategic planning.
  • Drive collaboration across internal teams to ensure successful execution of customer initiatives.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 3-5 employees.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance support.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer focus.
  • Align team objectives with broader business growth strategies.

Required Qualifications
Must-Have Experience
  • Significant experience within the Tissue manufacturing industry.
  • Proven success managing complex commercial accounts and customer relationships.
  • Experience growing existing business while developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong operational troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior people leadership or management experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing projects, equipment startups, or operational expansions.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across customer organizations.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with technical teams, R&D groups, and commercial leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in paper, pulp, tissue, converting, specialty chemicals, or related industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and process optimization.
  • Ability to navigate complex technical and commercial discussions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and strategic customer programs.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $135,130.00 and $198,187.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
