Job description

Role and Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain account plans for specified general contractors.
  • Provide market feedback to the company leadership including weekly pipeline and opportunity management reports for strategic projects.
  • Maintain current record of sales funnel in CRM. Provide monthly updates for competitive landscape to include key competitors in mechanical construction.
  • Foster a collaborative environment between Sales and Mechanical Construction Operations.
  • Maintain relationships with sales team members to identify and close opportunities with organic customers that involve General Contractor partners.
  • Maintain and develop key MEP firm relationships.
  • Generate business leads, follow up on sales opportunities, and secure business opportunities.
  • Understand client needs and offer solutions and support; answer potential client questions and follow-up call questions; respond to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Collaborate with sales and leadership to secure, retain, and grow MSS business.
  • Collaborate with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting, maintaining short- and long-term business development plans.
  • Establish strong customer relationships by providing accurate and timely information to customers regarding inquiries such as pricing, quotes, and issues/concerns.
  • Create and present informative presentations to potential clients.
  • Lead/Quarterback the MSS response on Client/Project interviews.
  • Support or lead the MSS preconstruction process for plan-spec, design assist, and design build opportunities / projects. This duty will require attendance to OACs, System Cluster Meetings, and other such related project events for the owner and the General Contractor. Responsible for managing the MSS project preconstruction team to achieve the project goals and execute a construction contract.
  • Other administrative duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline/work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers
  • Able to professionally and confidently communicate with Management
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results
  • Regular and supervisory probation period required, if applicable.
  • Random drug testing is required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Must successfully pass a background check & drug test.
  • Physical Demands: Constant sitting, walking short distances, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above and/or below shoulder, handling/grasping documents or office equipment, clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in-person and/or on the telephone, vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data, repetitive motions for computer equipment use, lift 25 lbs. occasionally, 5-10 lbs frequently to lift/carry/move objects, files and documents.

Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with air conditioning and bright lights.
