Job description

Fisher Arnold is seeking a Senior Project Manager- Land Development for our Memphis office. This position is the primary contact for clients on a project-by-project basis and will be responsible for leading and directing Land Development staff in all aspects of Land Development engineering and plans production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and/or establish project scope, proposals, design approach, applicable constraints, project schedule, and project cost estimates.
  • Maintain organized project file containing project calculations, correspondence, appropriate reference materials, etc.
  • Possess and demonstrate the engineering knowledge and understanding to perform all aspects of site development engineering including site layout, grading & drainage, storm water detention, sanitary sewer, water distribution, erosion protection and sediment control, roadway design, and traffic control.
  • Participate in public meetings with municipal planning and engineering staff, and present applications before public bodies such as councils, Board of Mayor & Alderman, planning commissions, etc.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines (e.g. architectural, mechanical, etc.) and contractors.
  • Track and process RFIs and review project submittals (shop drawings) for conformance with contract documents. Specify action required for conformance.
  • As necessary, make on-site visits to observe construction progress and ensure in compliance with plans and/or to meet owners, contractors, and others to address issues arising in the field.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Active Tennessee P.E. license or eligible to seek immediate reciprocity in Tennessee
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in responsive design and plans production on-site engineering, including; residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, and/or mixed-use developments.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing multiple projects and personnel.
  • Proficient in the utilization of Autodesk Civil3D
  • Proficiency in the utilization of HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and other hydraulic/hydrologic software is a plus
  • Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Word)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail
