In the role of Bridge Project Manager, we'll count on you to:  
  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects
  • Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff
  • Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project's development
  • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
  • Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice
  • Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure completion of documents on schedule
  • Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable-stayed), box culvert, and interchange design for highway projects
  • Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
  • Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs
  • Mentor younger staff and support continued development
  • Perform other duties as needed     

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • A minimum 2 years project management experience
  • PMP certification
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA 
  • Experience mentoring junior staff
  • Proficiency with seismic design and detailing of bridges
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 7 years related experience inclusive of a minimum 2 years experience in project management
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience is required 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
