Project Coordinator (Project Coordinator -Level Role) KITCHEN AND BATHROOM SPECIFICALLY
Department: Project Management / Field Operations
Location: On-site (Residential Remodel Job Sites)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (some weekends as needed)

Role Summary
The Project Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations on job sites, ensuring remodeling projects are completed to specification, on time, and within budget. This role bridges the gap between planning and execution, acting as the primary on-site authority. The Field Supervisor manages subcontractors, enforces quality and safety standards, and communicates updates and issues directly to the Project Manager. Must display professionalism and emotional maturity.
Core Responsibilities
1. Daily Job Site Oversight
  • Open and close job sites each day executing according to PM requests and requirements
  • Ensure that job site cleanliness, safety, and organization standards are maintained
  • Verify that all trades are present and working according to PM schedule
  • Perform daily walk-throughs to inspect progress, quality, and readiness for next phase updating company cam on all projects to ensure on time and on budget close out of all projects.
  • Document daily site activity and share reports and updates with the Project Manager and adjust according to PM guidance.
  • Must be able to roll up your sleeves and jump in on a project if needed so skill set matters

2. Subcontractor Management
  • Coordinate the arrival, departure, and task readiness of subcontractors
  • Confirm that each sub understands the scope of their work and timeline to complete projects.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable for quality and job completion to minimize punch lists
  • Address minor issues directly and update company cam; escalate all larger challenges to the Project Manager for further decisions.
  • Ensure that required materials are available for subcontractors when they arrive pre preparation of materials for all sub work

3. Client On-Site Communication
  • Be a professional point of contact for homeowners when passing off to Project Manager.
  • Handle questions or minor concerns in the field in a calm, solution-oriented manner
  • Provide reassurance and updates during in-progress phases with clients
  • Immediately report client concerns to the Project Manager to form a plan and update data in company cam

4. Project Timeline & Schedule Support
  • Monitor and track field work according to the project schedule and give updates to the PM
  • Notify the Project Manager of any delays, roadblocks, or scope changes you suggest for the PM to make the final decision.
  • Ensure trades are not overlapping or conflicting (e.g. painter vs. plumber scheduling)
  • Suggest adjustments to the job flow based on real-time field conditions to the PM

5. Quality Control
  • Ensure craftsmanship and installation meets or exceeds PM standards
  • Conduct inspections before progressing to next stage of work (e.g., post-drywall, pre-tile)
  • Red-line plans or make notes for the Project Manager on change orders. There should never be changes made without notifying clients of change order needs and change orders being implemented and discussed/approved and costs of changes being recorded and approved.
  • Take and submit photos of completed stages for records and marketing upload into company cam
  • Avoid punch lists ensuring to have a clean project that requires no major punch list at the end by inspecting all job site work and instructing the teams daily.
  • Must have excellent ability to measure for kitchen and bathroom remodeling orders to be placed accurately
  • Must have excellent measuring skills and experience with kitchen cabinets as well as bathroom installation

6. Material Handling & Inventory
  • Confirm material deliveries and inspect for damage or missing items double checking with warehouse inventory specialist to ensure there are no missing items or damages that require reorders to be done. If so notify PM immediately.
  • Communicate material needs or shortages ahead of time to the Project Manager before the project begins and update in company cam both
  • Return unused or extra materials as directed by PM to the warehouse.

7. Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce job site safety standards and OSHA compliance
  • Ensure all trades are using PPE and working safely
  • Report any incidents, injuries, or hazards immediately
  • Maintain job site signage and documentation (permits, warnings, etc.)

8. Documentation & Reporting
  • Submit Daily Field Reports to the Project Manager (digital updates and calls)
  • Record site issues, weather delays, material needs, and trade performance in company cam
  • Upload job site photos regularly (company cam)
  • Track change orders or scope deviations and relay promptly/daily
  • Report man hours on each project daily to PM via company cam.

9. Tool & Equipment Oversight
  • Monitor use and condition of company-owned tools and equipment on job sites
  • Prevent tool loss by logging tools in/out or assigning responsibility
  • Notify PM of equipment repair or replacement needs

10. Punch List & Close-Out
  • Create and track punch lists as work nears completion per PM request with goal to avoid any delayed management of punch list and invoicing
  • Coordinate final trades to complete touch-ups or fixes this should be minimized as each project is managed daily cutting punch lists back tremendously.
  • Walk job with Project Manager before final client walkthrough
  • Assist with collection of completion photos, warranties, or manuals
