Position: PROJECT COORDINATOR

Location: Onsite in Houston, TX

Employment Type: Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and organized Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution and monitoring of business and technology projects. The ideal candidate will have an MBA, 1–2 years of project coordination or related experience, and strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with project managers, business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to track deliverables, maintain project documentation, coordinate meetings and ensure projects remain on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project managers in planning, coordinating and tracking project activities, milestones and deliverables.

• Maintain project plans, schedules, action-item trackers, risk and issue logs, and status reports.

• Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes and follow up on action items.

• Monitor project timelines and proactively identify delays, dependencies, risks and potential issues.

• Communicate project updates to internal teams, business stakeholders and leadership.

• Assist with gathering and documenting business requirements, project objectives and success criteria.

• Coordinate activities across business, technology, operations and other cross-functional teams.

• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure materials are organized and accessible.

• Support resource planning, budget tracking, vendor coordination and administrative project activities.

• Prepare presentations, dashboards and management reports using project data.

• Help improve project processes, reporting practices and team collaboration.

• Ensure assigned tasks and deliverables are completed within established timelines.

Required Qualifications

• MBA from an accredited institution.

• 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, project management support, business operations, consulting or a related role.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and follow-up capabilities.

• Experience preparing project documentation, meeting minutes, status reports and presentations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be based in or able to work from Houston, Texas.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or traditional project-management methodologies.

• Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana or similar project-management tools.

• Exposure to risk tracking, budget monitoring, vendor coordination or business requirements documentation.

• Internship or professional experience supporting technology, operations, transformation or consulting projects.
