Sr. Engineering Project Manager
Greater Tulsa, OK

Position Overview
A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a Sr. Engineering Project Manager to lead capital projects from engineering through construction. This is a high-impact, site-based role with full ownership of scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate is equally strong in engineering phase management and hands-on construction execution, with deep expertise in cost controls, scheduling, and EPC contractor management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical and capital projects from front-end engineering through construction and commissioning.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on project control plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage vendors and external contractors through front-end engineering and EPC phases.
  • Guide capital projects through a phase-gate process and ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Lead project reviews and drive cross-functional communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee cost and schedule estimating, tracking, and controls throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage contracts, contracting strategies, and capital equipment procurement.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial capital project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale industrial capital projects (>$50MM) from design through construction.
  • Strong background in both engineering phase management and boots-on-the-ground construction oversight.
  • Highly experienced in cost controls, schedule estimating, and project controls.
  • Experience managing EPC contractors, contracts, and capital equipment procurement.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, NFPA, NEC, OSHA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in mining, minerals, metals recycling, or related industrial processes.
  • Commissioning management experience.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • PMP certification.
