Job description

STV is seeking a Senior Scheduler to join our Project Controls team in New York City to support a growing and increasingly complex portfolio of transportation, transit, and major infrastructure projects across the country. The Senior Scheduler will support multiple concurrent projects across STV's CM, PM, and design contracts. This role includes schedule development, schedule review, cost management support, risk analysis, EVM reporting, and dashboarding. The ideal candidate brings extensive construction knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse project teams across the country. This is a senior-level role for someone who can operate independently, interface with clients, and elevate the quality of project controls deliverables

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Project Controls Leadership

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze CPM construction schedules for complex horizontal and vertical transportation and infrastructure projects

  • Support multiple active projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables across clients and programs

  • Prepare and manage baseline schedules, periodic updates, recovery schedules, and whatif analyses

  • Perform schedule risk analysis

  • Lead schedule development and review efforts for designbuild and major project delivery models

Contractor & Client Schedule Review

  • Review contractor schedule submissions, updates, and Time Impact Analyses (TIAs)

  • Evaluate change order and claim-related schedule impacts and provide independent analysis

  • Coordinate closely with project managers, construction managers, designers, and inspectors to validate logic, sequencing, and phasing

Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as a key point of contact for schedule discussions with public agency clients and internal leadership

  • Participate in project meetings and present schedule status, risks, and mitigation strategies

  • Mentor junior scheduling and project controls staff

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • 8+ years of progressive scheduling or project controls experience supporting construction projects

  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6

  • Strong working knowledge of CPM scheduling, construction sequencing, and schedule analysis

  • Forensic schedule analysis and claims support

  • Cost/resource loading and cashflow experience

  • Experience supporting public agency clients, transit authorities, DOTs, or major infrastructure programs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with designbuild or major capital program scheduling

  • Prior work on transportation, transit, or heavy civil construction projects

  • Experience reviewing contractor schedules in a CM, PM, or ownerside role

  • Ability to manage workload across multiple concurrent projects in a fastpaced environment

  • Power BI experience

  • Risk Analysis software experience

  • Experience using Earned Value Management for reporting
