Project Controls Scheduler – Oracle Primavera P6


We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Scheduler to develop, maintain, update, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules in Oracle Primavera P6. This position will support capital, maintenance, operations, and test-related projects within an assigned mission area.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project scheduling, schedule analysis, resource planning, earned value management, and communicating schedule performance to project and executive leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, status, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Manage project resources, planned dates, durations, milestones, and schedule dependencies.
  • Analyze project schedules and interdependencies to identify potential resource, asset, or timeline conflicts.
  • Prepare schedule reports and management views showing:
  • Variance to baseline
  • Variance from prior forecasts
  • Remaining float
  • Critical-path activities
  • Manage schedule baselines and change-control processes.
  • Perform schedule-integrity checks and resolve scheduling issues.
  • Develop resource-loaded schedules, resource curves, and long-range resource plans.
  • Coordinate schedule changes to mitigate conflicts and take advantage of schedule opportunities.
  • Maintain integration between Primavera P6 and earned value reporting.
  • Support Control Account Managers and project leadership with:
  • Project estimates
  • Cost-performance monitoring
  • Funding availability
  • Earned Value Management reporting
  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly schedule-reporting requirements.
  • Attend and lead meetings involving test, outage, maintenance, and capital-project schedules.
  • Develop out-year project and resource plans as needed.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with company policies and supervisory direction.
  • Perform additional project-controls responsibilities as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least seven years of progressive, relevant project scheduling or project-controls experience.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as:
  • Oracle Primavera P6
  • Microsoft Project
  • Open Plan
  • Strong understanding of scheduling principles, critical-path methodology, schedule baselines, and resource loading.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a current U.S. citizen.
