Job description

What You'll Be Doing
Job Scope: Generally responsible for performing routine tasks of less complex assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical work methods. This work will be performed under direct supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Familiarity with and utilization of department standards.
  • Assisting in developing engineering and/or construction schedules.
  • Assisting in producing Level 1, 2, or 3 estimates
  • Assisting in monitoring project costs and producing spreadsheets and reports, for various projects.

Ideal Background
Education: Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Science degree program for Building Science, Engineering or a related degree at an accredited university is required.
GPA: 2.7 or above
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with construction standards and codes.
  • Familiarity with construction estimating and contract administration
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 software.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
