Job description

Project Cost Controls Engineer
Role Overview
This role is central to maintaining control over project cost and reporting for large mega-size commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Procore, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to coordinating stakeholders across multiple project phases. You will be responsible for maintaining facilitating cost and change control and ensuring project controls are aligned with company and client expectations. This is an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
Project Controls
  • Maintain and update project reporting schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Monitor key performance indicators and generate status reports for leadership
  • Support cost tracking and variance analysis
  • Collaborate with field and office teams to ensure timely data exchange

Change Management
  • Oversee and document all project scope, schedule, and cost changes
  • Coordinate internal and client-facing change approval workflows
  • Maintain a robust change log for reporting and auditing
  • Analyze impacts of changes and support mitigation planning
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within commercial construction
  • Expertise in Procore document workflows and reporting tools
  • Solid understanding of commercial project lifecycles and construction documentation standards
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and time management skills
