Mesa seeks a Document Control Technician. The Document Control Technician role provides mid-level support for document management processes within Mesaโ€™s PMO business unit. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with document control standards, and supporting project teams with timely distribution and tracking of engineering documentation. The Document Control Technician works under moderate supervision and is expected to independently manage routine document workflows and contribute to quality assurance efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, reviewing, and processing engineering documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Maintaining document control systems, databases, and logs with accurate metadata.
  • Ensuring version control and proper archiving of superseded documents.
  • Preparing transmittals, submittals, and document packages for internal and external distribution.
  • Coordinating document reviews and tracking responses from project stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with client and internal document control standards.
  • Assisting with audits and quality checks of document records.
  • Supporting project teams with document retrieval, formatting, and troubleshooting.

Competencies

  • Solid understanding of document control systems and versioning protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under deadlines.

Education and Experience

Minimum:

  • 6 years experience working as a Document Control Technician OR a 4-year business degree or similar AND 2-3 years of field project document control experience.
