About the role

In this position, you will play a leading role in managing the safety, compliance, and performance of all electrical systems at Haleon Guayama Site. This includes design, maintenance, and operation, all facilitating the achievement of production targets, cost efficiencies, whilst conforming to Statutory and Corporate health, safety, and environmental standards. You will focus on electrical infrastructure, providing expert knowledge in electrical power, infrastructure, instrumentation, and control. You will be looked for as the main site electrical engineer and a key Technical Authority for electrical engineering.

Role Responsibilities
  • Providing expert services in electrical power, instrumentation, and control.
  • Management of minor works for safety, efficiency and cost saving projects.
  • Leading site Electrical compliance programs and participating in above-site networks.
  • Support Global Head of Electrical Engineering in electrical program development.
  • Leading the Utilities electrical maintenance program.
  • Assisting with the selection management of contractors and suppliers, to ensure that goods and services meet Haleon standards and the site's performance objectives.
  • Advising on the availability and application of techniques to improve performance by better control, instrumentation, and electrical systems, covering both production and site facilities.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of codes and standards for the installation and safe operation of Site systems with attention to electrical control and instrumentation.
  • Contribution to the development and training programs for all site personnel in the field of Electrical engineering.
  • To comply with site health, safety, and environmental policy and with the site standards for workwear and conduct while actively supporting GMP requirements.
  • To ensure that GMP, Quality, Health & Safety are considered in all aspects of role.
  • Leading electrical infrastructure lifecycle and investments strategy.
  • May have responsibility for supervision of contract or consultative resources. Ability to work with contractor and provide support to others who review/approve and manage external EHS services in meeting business initiatives.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site's Sustainability Program, aligning local initiatives with corporate sustainability objectives.
  • Drive projects focused on energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and decarbonization to support the organization's Net Zero Carbon commitments.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement sustainability opportunities that reduce environmental impact while optimizing operational performance and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and report sustainability metrics, ensuring progress toward corporate goals and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sustainability projects that support long-term environmental and business objectives.
Basic Qualifications
  • B.S in Electrical Engineering Eight (8) years of relevant work experience for those with BS degree.
  • Experience in Engineering supporting the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of GMP, OSHA, FDA, and environmental regulations applicable to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Hands on experience of continuous improvement projects.
  • Understanding of selection and maintenance of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
  • Completely bilingual (English/Spanish)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering or business administration is desirable.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
