Quality Control Manager
As a Quality Control Manager, you will be the on-site leader ensuring the highest quality and efficiency standards for challenging energy efficiency construction projects. You will develop, manage, and enforce the Quality Control Plan, driving successful project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Management & Execution:
    • Serve as the on-site QC Manager at the client location.
    • Design, develop, and manage the performance of the Quality Control Plan.
    • Provide continuous and comprehensive inspection and oversight of all work to ensure strict compliance with contract plans and specifications.
    • Coordinate and schedule all field testing, QA/QC inspections, and material testing performed by third parties.
    • Prepare and manage all required QC reports, documentation, and daily inspection reports.
  • Project Compliance & Standards:
    • Ensure all construction activities, materials, and submittals meet or exceed contract specifications and the contractor's standard of excellence.
    • Enforce and maintain quality control standards in coordination with field supervision and subcontractors.
    • Oversee the implementation of Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs).
  • Project Planning & Support:
    • Prepare and manage project schedules, estimates, and bid documents.
    • Implement Measurement-Based Monitoring & Verification (M&V), commissioning, and post-implementation O&M protocols.
    • Assist in project and business development, from preliminary audit through the design/build phase.
  • Client Management:
    • Manage client relationships to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Skills and Experience
Success requires a dynamic, highly motivated individual with an acute passion for managing sustainability/clean energy projects.
  • Required Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience as a QC Manager on operations, maintenance, and repair activities.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a similar field.
    • Strong knowledge of all construction disciplines (civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical).
    • Experience with building energy systems (HVAC, controls, lighting, central utilities, electrical, and M&P systems).
    • Proven QC management, team leadership, problem-solving, and construction management skills.
    • Ability to achieve varying degrees of government security clearance(s) to work int he federal space.
  • Highly Preferred Experience:
    • Experience in energy systems project implementation, including performance contracts.
    • Experience performing retrofit work on military bases.
    • Completion of the US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management (CQM) training course.

Location & Compensation
  • Location: This role is based on the client project site in Washington D.C. Candidates must be within commutable distance or willing to relocate, as daily on-site presence is required (company office is in Arlington, VA).
  • Shift work may be required at times to include early evening shifts.
  • Compensation: CEG Solutions takes into consideration multiple factors to determine compensation depending on skills, experience, training, and certifications. Physical Demands & Work Environment
This role requires a proactive presence on construction sites, including the ability to:
  • Perform a wide range of physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, reaching, and lifting equipment weighing up to 75 pounds in small spaces, sometimes on an emergency basis.
  • Work effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Utilize all senses, including sight (close, distance, and color distinction), smell, speech, and hearing.
