Job description

Pinnacle Solutions is looking for a Project Control Analyst to work in Huntsville, AL.
The Pinnacle Solutions Project Control Analyst III is a key member of the Facility Solutions Group team! Reviews and analyzes the status of assigned projects for the purpose of cost reporting. Evaluates project cost against project budgets. Provides clear and accurate cost information to management. Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Responsibilities
  • Develops, reviews, and adjusts EAC for revenue recognition purposes on Development Programs.
  • Assists Project Managers in all duties related to finance and performance, planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Initiates, monitors, and maintains proper project setup in Deltek Costpoint via completion and submission of a project setup form.
  • Budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Proactively monitors project timecards: ensures timecard errors are identified and corrections are processed in timely manner.
  • Ensures accuracy of project-related expense reports and ensure timely processing.
  • Project Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Tracks contractual obligations and deliverables.
  • Assists project team with:
    • Work authorizations.
    • Identifying and analyzing project risk.
    • Development and execution of internal and external project reviews.
    • Initiating Purchase Requisitions and goods receipts in Deltek Costpoint's Procurement module.
    • Generation and analysis of financial reports.
    • Communicating timecard and expense practices for the project.
    • Customer invoice review and approval prior to submission.
    • Funding notifications to the customer (i.e. 75% letters).
    • Contract Closeouts.
  • Contracts / Pricing:
    • Reviews and analyzes contract, subcontracts, and agreements to ensure project meets financial and reporting requirements.
    • Assists with pricing and historical data collection.
  • Responsible for the development and submission of quarterly unbilled analysis packages.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required - Accounting or Business-related field preferred
  • 5+ years' experience providing project accounting support for services contracts for Govt. customers
  • Understanding of EACs, ETCs, and unbilled analysis
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, proactive
  • Track record of delivering well-organized and accurate work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well with accounting, contracts, and project personnel to accomplish tasks
  • Strong Excel skills to include VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and PivotTables
  • Experience using Deltek Cost Point
  • This hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Huntsville, AL
  • You will be required to pass a thorough background check to include employment and credit verification
