Loads, secures, and unloads material in accordance with safety and DOT standards, and completes required delivery documentation. When not making deliveries, supports the proper storage and flow of material into and out of the Warehouse, including staging and/or preparing material for projects and special projects, picking material for storage and/or staging, and providing support for customers and technicians at the will-call counter. Responsible for maintaining a high level of service to internal and external customers of Tech Electronics. Performs job functions at the highest level of accuracy and efficiency. Continuously maintains computer technical skills. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOBEssential FunctionsSafely operates a company box truck to complete scheduled and on-demand local deliveries of material, equipment, and tools between Tech Electronics branches, job sites, and customer locations.Plans delivery routes and schedules to meet customer and project timelines while minimizing mileage, fuel costs, and delays.Loads, secures, and unloads material using proper techniques and equipment (e.g., hand truck, dolly, load straps, ramps) to prevent damage and ensure safe transport.Verifies accuracy of items, quantities, and part numbers against delivery paperwork prior to departure and at drop-off.Obtains and maintains accurate proof-of-delivery documentation, including signatures and delivery tickets.Completes required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly reports mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns.Complies with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety guidelines while operating company vehicles.Maintains a clean, organized, and safe delivery vehicle and cargo area.Communicates with the Warehouse Supervisor, dispatch, and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.Provides backup support to Warehouse functions, including loading and unloading, packing and unpacking, kitting, inbound processing, scanning orders, shipping and receiving, put-a-way, and data entry into computerized inventory control systems, as needed.Assists internal and external customers with material pickups and will-call requests when supporting the Warehouse.Abides by all processes and procedures. Provides input for continual improvement of current processes or procedures.Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity and continued improvement.Secondary FunctionsProcesses incoming and outgoing shipments per company procedures.Performs inventory stock checks and cycle counting as required.Maintains a clean and safe work area in the Warehouse.Distributes product throughout Tech's complex as needed.Completes proper paperwork and accurately enters inventory transactions into computer systems.Maintains inventory stock levels as per policy, informing Purchasing of any out of balance discrepancies.Checks out tools and equipment as requested per company policies.Maintains technical skills as required by Management.Attends and provides input to workgroups as requested.Ensures accuracy of requested count and part numbers requested for all material received and shipped via Tech's major carriers.Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.Provides backup support to all functions in the Warehouse. Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop and crouch, push, pull, reach, grasp, feel, talk, and hear.The employee is required to lift at least 70lbs pounds and/or 25 to 50 pounds continuously and move around large areas or to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects unassisted or with the use of a hand truck or hoist.Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at 20 feet or more as well as 20 inches or less.The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods while driving, and to repeatedly enter and exit the vehicle throughout the workday. Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this jobWarehouse and vehicle setting – worker may be exposed to disagreeable elements with one present to the extent of being disagreeable, or with several elements present to the extent of being objectionable but usually not more than one at a time.Regularly operates a company vehicle in varying weather, road, and traffic conditions, and works both indoors and outdoors while loading and unloading at customer and job site locations. POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSA Class E driver's license will be required for this job.  This can be obtained once hired.Education:High school diploma or equivalentExperience:One year of experience driving a box truck or similar commercial vehicle for local delivery.Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.Experience using computer ERP systems, including MS Office, preferred.This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
