We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to support our Design Team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in construction finance and project operations. The Finance Associate will assist with project budgeting, invoice processing, contract administration, and financial reporting while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and accounting teams.

Experience with Deltek is highly preferred, preferably within the construction, engineering, or professional services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Design Team with project financial tracking and budget management
  • Process consultant invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports accurately and timely
  • Maintain project financial records and assist with monthly reconciliations
  • Enter and manage project data within Deltek
  • Assist with project setup, labor tracking, and cost coding
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budget updates for project leadership
  • Coordinate with Accounting and Project Management teams to ensure billing accuracy
  • Monitor project expenditures and identify budget variances
  • Support contract administration and document management processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and project financial procedures
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and administrative tasks as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 1–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or project coordination
  • Experience using Deltek software required
  • Experience in construction, architecture, engineering, or general contracting industry preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the construction finance field

The expected salary range for this position (Finance Associate) in US-MA-Boston is between $89,000 and $121,000 USD.  This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Suffolk’s total compensation package.  Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, education and other qualifications.  Suffolk offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of its overall compensation strategy.  Salary ranges may differ by geography and are reviewed regularly to reflect market trends.
