Summary
Under the general supervision of the principal, office manager, department head or other supervisor, the office assistant provides general support for administrators, office staff and faculty. Incumbent may process student information; serve as receptionist, answering telephones, taking messages, making telephone calls, and assisting students and visitors; manage/monitor the teacher's workroom; manage/monitor the copy center; and/or supervise students in various settings.

Office Assistant // Work Based Learning (WBL)
5.9 hours per day / 174 days per year / Salary Grade 4 - $18.11 per hour (Support Salary Table 2026-27)

NOTE: THIS IS A WORK-BASED LEARNING (WBL) OFFICE ASSISTANT
POSITION.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
• COORDINATE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS WITH CAREER AND COLLEGE AWARENESS TEACHERS AND JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STAFF.
• ASSIST WITH THE PLANNING, COORDINATION, AND LOGISTICS OF EARLY OUTREACH AND CAREER EXPOSURE WORK-BASED LEARNING ACTIVITIES.
• REVIEW AND PROCESS INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS, ENSURING REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION IS COMPLETE AND ACCURATELY MAINTAINED.
• ASSIST WITH THE PREPARATIONS FOR INTERN ORIENTATIONS AND IN-CLASS TRAINING, INCLUDING ORGANIZING MATERIALS, PURCHASING SUPPLIES, ETC.
• PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO THE WBL OFFICE, INCLUDING DATA ENTRY, RECORDKEEPING, GRADING SUPPORT, AND STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATIONS.
• PROVIDE WORK-BASED LEARNING COORDINATORS ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT AS NEEDED.
• ASSIST WITH COMMUNICATIONS TO STUDENTS, PARENTS, TEACHERS, COUNSELORS, COORDINATORS, AND BUSINESS PARTNERS.
• MAINTAIN POSITIVE AND PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH STUDENTS, EDUCATORS, AND BUSINESS PARTNERS WHILE PROVIDING EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
• PERFORM OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED IN SUPPORT OF DAVIS SCHOOL DISTRICT'S WBL PROGRAM K12.
