- Help participants apply what they learn in the modules to daily classroom and Afterschool settings.
- Inform future revisions of modules by sharing participant feedback
- Align professional development sessions with the learning modules and Afterschool curriculum
This role works independently and collaboratively to ensure high-quality professional development delivery while maintaining strong partner relationships and managing program logistics and instructional teams. The Professional Learning Specialist ensures compliance with partner contracts, supports data collection and reporting, and oversees Professional learning for the ELP sites through CAMP.

- Provide follow-up support between sessions and troubleshoot implementation challenges.
- Build participants' confidence and independence with new instructional strategies and tools.
Alignment with ELP Content
- Coordinate with colleagues to keep sessions on the current, approved module version.
- Flag inconsistencies or gaps between module content and what participants need in practice.
- Submit session materials, handouts, and any newly created or modified content for review before use, to confirm alignment with CAMP/ELP style guides, brand standards, and current module content.
- Stay current on adult learning research, emerging technologies, and PD best practices.
Systems, Tracking & Rollout
- Build and maintain the frameworks and structures that guide professional learning, including the ELP Playbook.
- Maintain tracking systems for session planning, attendance, completion, and participant progress.
- Lead the rollout of professional learning at selected Hubs, partnering with the Hub contacts on consistent structure and quality.
- Share participant feedback and facilitation trends.
Relationship Building & Visibility
- Build and maintain relationships with teachers, school leaders, and district staff.
- Represent CAMP and ELP professionally in school and district settings; identify opportunities to expand reach.
- Write one original blog post per month and complete one guest blog post per month.
Facilitation Presence & Professionalism
- Create a warm, engaging environment where educators feel comfortable learning and asking questions.
- Communicate clearly and adapt explanations to different experience levels and learning styles.
- Build trust and rapport with teachers, staff, and school leaders.
- Stay flexible and responsive when session plans need to adjust in real time.
- Live the CAMP Way in every interaction with educators, school leaders, and partners.

- Participant satisfaction and engagement in PD sessions, measured by post-session surveys (85% or higher satisfaction rates)
- Improvement in teachers' and staff's application of ELP strategies
- "Expanding Learning Possibilities" Playbook kept current and accurate
- Attendance, completion, and progress tracking, kept current for Hub outreach and reporting
- Strong, growing relationships with participating schools and districts
- At least one original blog post and one guest blog post written per month
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- At least three years of classroom teaching or educational coaching experience.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
The Professional Learning Specialist plays a critical role in advancing College Admissions Made Possible's (CAMP) mission to expand access to college, career, and workforce development opportunities for students across multiple communities and school systems.
The Professional Learning Specialist is what brings ELP modules to life through consistent, well-prepared coaching and training so teachers and staff can put project-based learning (PBL) and engineering design process (EDP) strategies to work with confidence in their own classrooms and Afterschool settings. When that support shows up, students build the STEM learning, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that translate into real workforce readiness, not just stronger grades. That is how this role turns solid instructional design into measurable academic impact and lasting opportunity for the students CAMP serves.
College Admissions Made Possible 2.0 (CAMP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer
CAMP hires the most-qualified candidates without regard to any person's race, color, sex,
gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, parental
status, marital status, military discharge status, or source of income.
90-Day Introductory/Probationary Period:
All newly hired CAMP employees will complete a 90-day introductory probationary period. During this period, the employee's performance, attendance, reliability, professionalism, ability to collaborate, adherence to CAMP policies and procedures, and overall alignment with the expectations of the position will be evaluated. A formal evaluation will be conducted during or at the conclusion of the 90-day period to determine continued employment.
