Job description

Job Description – Project Room Coordinator
Job Purpose
Manage activities and operations associated with warehouse projects and work orders and direct personnel in the Projects Room. Act as the warehouse liaison to the Operations Department at the corporate office.
Duties and Responsibilities
General
  • Liaise with the Corporate Operations Team and Management Team to facilitate the flow of information and accomplish assigned activities and tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper compliance with all safety policies.
  • Suggest and help implement process improvements.
  • Perform all work duties in a professional manner, contributing to a positive warehouse culture and team-based performance approach.
Projects Room
  • Manage all work orders and projects, including coding, labeling, assembly line jobs, etc.
  • Review and schedule work orders to complete tasks according to stated due dates and company priorities.
  • Manage temporary labor needs (with supervisor approval) to accomplish Project/Clean Room tasks.
  • Work with the Corporate Operations Team, Management Team, and manufacturing plants to facilitate the flow of incoming components needed to execute work orders.
  • Work closely with Quality Control when work orders involve quality issues.
  • Organize and assemble all necessary components for each work order.
  • Oversee and approve case labels for items worked or reworked in the Projects Room.
  • Perform final inspections of completed work orders.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Manage and maintain label inventory and the Label Room, including receiving, counting, storage, label transfers, inventory updates, and usage.
Inventory
  • Oversee and assist with updating work order components.
  • Post work order production and completed work orders in ABAS.
  • Ensure ABAS inventory levels on all items in the Projects Room are 100% accurate.
Leadership / Supervisory
  • Assign work orders to staff in the Special Projects Room.
  • Provide information, guidance, and direction to Projects Warehouse Associates in the performance of their duties.
  • Address grievances of Special Projects Associates and work with the Warehouse Manager and Human Resources to resolve conflicts and performance issues.
  • Evaluate the performance of Projects Room employees and complete annual performance evaluations.
Communication
  • Use effective and innovative problem-solving techniques.
  • Solicit input and provide assistance as needed.
  • Participate in warehouse leadership meetings.
Other
  • Cross-train team members on all tasks.
  • Provide additional assistance as needed and requested.
