T. Baker Smith is seeking talented Project Technicians with survey and/or drafting experience to support our growing team in Metairie, Louisiana!
Your Opportunity:
  • To gain experience working with Professional Surveyors and technicians.
  • Prepare client deliverables.
  • Calculating, analyzing, organizing, coordinating, and researching information, preparing drawings, and aiding in tasks necessary to complete the project.
  • Ability to team up with our surveyors to prepare and discuss drawings and project specifications and details for a variety of survey and mapping projects.
  • Providing technical support for project teams.
  • To help in any area necessary to get the work completed according to the project schedule.
  • Assist other project teams or departments with technical, field, or other duties as needed or requested.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:
  • Associate degree in Drafting and Design or Bachelor degree in Geomatics
  • Proven experience in survey and mapping.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, InRoads, or OpenRoads.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
