Job description

The Fork Truck Driver/Production Associate will be assigned to various production lines within our automotive glass
manufacturing or fabrication plants. This role will support Carlex production and manufacturing processes to enhance operations by improving yields, reducing waste, lowering cycle times, and reducing overall operational costs.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Conduct visual inspection of products
• Follow all safety, quality, performance and attendance rules
• Load and/or unload glass on various conveyor systems
• Move racks of product using powered industrial trucks
• Band racks of product per specifications
• Pack product into racks for shipment to other areas of plant or
to customer
• Perform adjustments and minor repairs to machinery as
needed and/or directed
• Generate and maintain appropriate records as required.
• Achieve operator certification in all functions worked
• Participate and embrace continuous improvement (LEAN)
actionsREQUIREMENTS
Education:
• High School diploma or GED required
Years of Experience:
• 1 or more years in a production environment preferred
Other Requirements:
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and
background check
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts or alternate work schedules
(depending on the Plant to which assigned)
• Available to work day shift or night shift
• Ability to frequently lift up to 45 lbs.
• Reliable transportation required
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be
required as workload or projects dictate, including
weekends and holidaysKEY COMPETENCIES
