As a PNC Intern, you will participate in a best-in-class internship program and jump start your career at a top U.S. bank. During this 10-week program you will work directly with PNC’s team of quantitative analysts, portfolio managers, and data scientists.  You will develop the tools you need to launch a successful career and complement your education with real-world experience.

The Data, Modeling, and Analytics (DMA) Internship Program provides exposure to quantitative and business analytics, data science and modeling, and data‑driven decision‑making across commercial and consumer businesses. Interns work with experienced professionals who transform data into actionable insights to support portfolio management, risk management, capital decisions, and business strategy. 

Interns gain exposure to real-world business problems and apply PNC’s vast collection of analytical and modeling tools:

  • Generative AI (e.g. GitHub Copilot)
  • Cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS)
  • Big Data systems (e.g. Apache Hadoop)
  • Application Development (e.g. SQL, Python, R, and Tableau)
  • Quantitative development and deployment environments

Job Profile

  • Participates as an intern in the PNC summer internship program.
  • Performs or assists with the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g. deal, sales, or process support, internal or external customer interaction, or supporting internal projects). Works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority.
  • Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g. identifies and networks with business representatives and peers, participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach)

Required Education and Experience:  

  • Working toward a bachelor's degree, preferably STEM or business majors (e.g. Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business). Other majors can be considered if there is a strong proven interest in analytics.  

  • Junior status 

  • Minimum GPA 3.2. 

  • Experience in data analysis, preferably using SQL, Python, R, and/or Tableau.
